Drill bits (the kind designed for metal)
Ballpoint Hammer
Rubber mallet
Vice
C-clamps
3/8 inch thick rubber pads
Small heavy duty bean bags
Hacksaw, Band saw, Jig saw, Saw-zal (it is up to use but I prefer a Jig saw and a band saw for cutting metal.)
Tin snips or Poultry scissors (works great for thin aluminum)
Pop rivet gun.
Tap and Die kit (For threading holes and bolts)
Drill-press (Comes in handy and takes the ache out with a hand drill)
Vise grips
A oak log (Yes a piece of a oak log comes in handy for beating metal on.)
Anvil (This is optional really, I myself use a piece of train track rail)
Files
Dermal
Bench grinder
Heavy duty gloves and goggles

Plastic
More modern, liter and cheaper. Cant live in a world with out plastics can we.

Vacuum forming unit (You can find a few guides on building one)
Oven
Electric sander
Dremal
Files
Wire snips (Works great at cutting plastic)
Channel-locks with rubber tips (You can use some shrink wrap to make your own)
