Okay, the G5 tower on 10.5.8 choked on the drive. She can't reboot or shutdown the machine unless she holds the power button, and this AM when she went to eject a disc it froze the machine. I took over a used DVR-111 for now.
Any luck with yours or same crap. I looked in the Console and even with the jumper change I mentioned in the last post, after being on a while the machine gets the IOATA errors.
I'm kind of ticked, had to get out early today and cancel a call to make this one right.

Things seem fine after running Patchburn. But I am on 10.4.11. It seems to have installed the correct drivers or whatever.
I'm glad I didn't run off and install 10.5, but I'd like to do so soon, so let me know what solution you come up with. This illustrates why these two mission-critical systems haven't made it to the twenty first century yet.

So... did you ever get a resolution on this? Things seemed fine, but my machine at home is now crashing a couple of times a day, and the work one isn't much better.

Ah, good. I do have weird dreams sometimes that I have problems separating from reality. But I was worrying about my sanity if I was having dreams about Reboot responding to me on here. That would be a little weird.

Yeah, that would make me a little uncomfortable too.
I'm going to put the 118 into mine today and see how it goes.
The customer's machine is running fine with my 111 in it of course.
Pioneer never got back with me, got a case #, I'll call them again this week after trying it in mine.
