patrick Registered: 05/29/09 Posts: 8	I have a 867 QS and want to swap it with a dual 1ghz cpu I have. However I do not have a dual cpu heatsink. The single heat sink looks like it might fit, maybe even trim some of it to match the dual shape. Or is there another source for a diy heatsink for a dual 1ghz cpu QS? Thanks.

TCPMeta MacModder Registered: 11/15/07 Posts: 1797 Loc: Florida, USA	I wouldn't use the old heatsink. The dual CPU uses a bigger heatsink and I don't think the old one will sit properly on the CPU cores.

mordaskyt Registered: 01/25/05 Posts: 360	Def not the same sink, be VERY careful as the G4 will fry nearly immediately if the heat sink is not correctly installed. Look for the correct one on ebay is your best bet.

johnodd4 Registered: 06/14/06 Posts: 45	look on ebay.. indeed if you have the wrong heat sinks the computer wil start up then fail.
