well i purchased a Emac and decided to max mod the computer to the max but still being cheap.

I purchased the Emac for $60.00

the specs where:

g4 800 Mhz
256 Megs of ram
40 gig hard drive
apple cd-rom
Running mac os x 10.2.8

i went to local recycle pc stores.

and here is the new system specs.

G4 800 Mhz
512 megs of ram still waiting for my 1 gig stick to arrive.
250 gig western digital
52 x LG- dvd+r/cd+r burner
running mac os 10.5.7 using leopard assist.

not bad total cost was

$84.00 for a nice computer for e-mail and photo editing

Wow. That's pretty good.
I got my G4 for $120, with a 20gb hdd, 450mhz G4 processor, 128 mb of ram, a dvd drive, and stock graphics.
And at the time, that was a good deal.
