If you want to create wallpaper from your album art without going through the headache of loading a graphics program, I found a quick & dirty way of doing it. Maybe it's not new(?), but it helped me make mine.
Go into "System Preferences" > "Desktop & Screen Saver"
Go to the "Screensaver" tab and select "iTunes Artwork"
Important part - Hold down the Command and Shift keys at the same time, then click "Test". Don't let go of those keys
While holding down on Command and Shift, hit the "3" key. You should hear that snapshot sound telling you that a screenshot was made. The screensaver will keep going.
When you leave the screensaver, you will have your new album art wallpaper. The image will be on the desktop and surprisingly set at the same screen resolution that you took the screenshot in.
Play around with this a bit to your liking. You might not get the albums you want the first few times. This is definitely not for those who are technically, or graphically, gifted.
