Hey guys I was wondering what is the best heat sink I can put in my Quicksilver G4.
I found this one and it seems to loo pretty good any thoughts

and it I upgrade it to the Newertech 2ghz could I use this heat sink on it

so what is the best aftermarket heat sink?

not too sure, I would think you could do some measuring and figure it out though... Maybe someone else has a solid idea.

check some of the mod guides. There are some folks that have upgraded the heatsinks, I know I have seen a mod guide or two.

I used a full copper Socket7/A heatsink on my B&W but been too scared to try and tinker with a quicksilver. Maybe a heatsink from a Pentium 4 or higher might do the trick.

If you go with the NewerTech CPU upgrade it comes with its own heatsink, so you wouldn't need to worry about a replacement if you go that route.

But the other concern I see when looking at this is the the shape of it. I think (though I could be wrong) that the Quicksilver CPU board might not fit into this screw arrangement. The PPC CPU board may be to different to fit on this. What are the dimmensions of the QS CPU board screw posts?

Have you overclocked your QS? Is that why you are looking for the extra cooling? How hot is it running usually?
