Hey guys, I have two 600mhz Ibooks, that have no battery, and on start up, im getting a grey screen, and, then a small square of color, guessing maybe short in the ribbon cable, or the vram is bad. I tried the reset, but didnt seem to work. The LCD's all are still bright, no dead pixels to my acknowledgement. Just wondering a round about price for these puppies. Should I try posting to the trading warehouse, or ebay?
p.s: sorry if this is in the wrong place, i didnt know where to post this at. I hope someone can help.
Those iBooks probably have the graphics problem that Apple had a recall on. I actually have a 12" and 14" model that had the problem. If its the same problem as mine, the logic board has a bad connection to one of the graphics chips and some people have had luck fixing it with anything that puts pressure on the broken area. I was able to have some luck with a piece of folded paper but it would quit working if the laptop was moved at all. Parting it out is probably your best option.
