My Powerbook G4 12" keyboard is missing a few keys now, and it has always been a pain to clean. I have been wanting to replace it with something that will be easier to clean, like the keyboard on the ibook G3 perhaps. Does anyone know if a G3 keyboard will fit, or if there are other keyboards I might be able to replace it with?
As for the keyboard, I don't really know. My guess is the connector is the same, but I am not certain here. The sizing is obviously going to be of the largest concern here.
I did have a 12" powerbook, those keyboards were a little deep, but man, that was the coolest little laptop ever. I wouldn't replace that keyboard with a cheap ibook one, those g3 ibook keyboards were cheap plastic.
Have you tried used a wet dry vac on that thing? I bet you get a small nozzle for a nice, high powered wet dry vac, and you could suck just about everything out of there.
Also, I think there is a guide on this site for cleaning that keyboard. Best of luck, someone else might have some ideas on the replacement though, if you are determined.

If there are any keyboards that will fit, it would be from an iBook. But it certainly won't be all iBooks. Not even all the 12" ones. Its the sort of thing worth trying if you have the parts lying about, but could prove an expensive headache if you start buying them to test.
