I hacked my 360 a while back and even with 3rd party hacked firmware on the DVD drive, it still works on live. Thing is you should never log onto live with a copied game. When you play a copied game use a different profile and also disconnect the unit from the LAN.

I'm an old timer when it comes to the xbox, so I'm not up on the 360. Can you use xbconnect with the 360?
It's a great alternative when I was using my old xbox to play against other players. A little bit of a pain to setup initially, but if you have a WRT router that has DDWRT installed, the router can handle the authentication.
