Mac  Classic Mini Jukebox

Core 2 Duo 2GHz
2GB RAM
750GB 7200RPM HD
1024 x 768 Display

Instructions:
1. Take one 17 year old Mac Classic
2. Cut off front of CRT with diamond grinder to preserve full aesthetics of case.
3. Make custom mounts and air rams.
4. Modify front of Classic case to accept DVDs. Add hole for IR receiver.
5. Mount brand new Mac Mini on rear of LCD unit.
6. Customize one ATX power supply.
7. Construct set of custom cables.
8. Add one USB to ATAPI adaptor for DVD drive.
9. Add extension connecters to existing holes in case rear: 2x USB, 1x HDMI, Ethernet, RCA audio
10. Mount Mini power switch behind original side panel reset buttons.
11. Modify software so Mini boots up into Front Row (disable Finder) and you have yourself a Classic Mini Jukebox. Simple!

I like it, better then most classic all-in-one mini mods. Everyone else leaves the mini intact and add a LCD. You went beyond and added a power supply, kept the screen stock looking and voided the warranty on the mini with out in fear. Keep up the good work.

Would you mind taking a couple more pictures of all of the angles?
I was actually thinking of doing a similar project with a PowerMac 5500.
They are HUGE, common, and have tons of possibilities.
Mine is going to be Black, LCD Screen Integrated, with a MDD Motherboard mounted inside.
I'm thinking of either an MDD or a Mini. But I can't decide.

That is by far the best mini-in-a-Classic mod I've seen yet.  Very clean and not "busy".  You should get more pics and get into details.

Mod guides are always nice wink
