Is there anyway to hack an iPod clickwheel to be a mac controller? I would love to have a clickwheel interface for my mac (maybe cut apart a keyboard and mount it in there, plus my in-progress carpc).
where there is a will there is a way. I've never seen it attempted.

First you'll have to find out the interface... is it usb? if so, then you'll probably have to write some scripts to control the cursor and scrolling on screen using the click wheel. the center button can obviously be used for clicking... the four "corner" buttons can launch several actions... perhaps make it context dependant?!?!?!?
There's tremendous potential for a click wheel in audio and video editing aplication... give it a shot and keep us posted!!!!
