I'm looking into buying a laptop and for the amount of money i have the ibook g3 dual usb with 600mhz, 256mb ram and 20GB hdd looks like the best option for me and i've always wanted to own a mac + it's just so damn good looking. On the computer i already own all i do is download music, listen to it, watch the occasional movie, upload music on my mp3 player, chat on msn, browse the net, use photoshop and write with ms word. I'm probably getting a larger capacity mp3 player so stored music won't be much of a problem to the 20 gig HD and all my pictures are stored on photobucket. Is the ibook really a good option for me? Since all these tasks on my 1.3ghz, 256mb, 70GB dell aren't exactly a cakewalk.
A bit more RAM will help alot. With either of those machines. The iBook will be a little sluggish using late copies of photoshop, but you should be fine with the rest of your list. It won't be the fastest machine in the world, but its should be nice and stable.
