Hey everyone, I doubt anyone remembers me, I have not been on in a long while. Moving on, I am working on doing another mod to my "Mac Orb". It didn't turn out too well. It seems not to be very useful as a file server. Instead im going to make it into a semi-media center. Just something lite for music. I've found some front end software and I'm starting to draw up plans for a case. However, I have come across a snag. I cannot find out witch processor I exactly have. It is either the PowerPC 7450 or 7445. There are many sites that say its is one or the other and it is very confusing. The reason I'm looking for this information is because I am attempting to find a new way to cool the G4 processor and would like to find out the thermal specs on it. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
P.S. Forgot to say that this was originally an 800Mhz G4 17" iMac. 1st rev if they had any.

You should be able to find some software to report exactly which CPU you have. Download Temperature Monitor from versiontracker and check the system info from under the window menu. That tells me my iBook has a 7450 Version 1.2. Should sort you out.
