Hey, I just acquired some ancient Mac Plus' and Mac SEs and want to install some software but not sure what the highest OS is that will run on them and if this software is available for download online somewhere...any suggestions?

The Mac Plus and all versions of the SE should run up to OS 7.5.5.

On IRC the DALnet server theres a channel called #macintosh and theres a guy that has a FTP that has all of the old MacOS versions from 5.0 to 7.5.5
