so i have noticed that after market ram has come wayyyyyy down since i bought my macbook, and im looking to upgrade to a matched pair of 1gb sticks if the price is right. i wanted to know what kind of ram company is trusted to buy from. i saw on crucial.com that a matched pair is about 90 bucks, and you can trade in your old ram (mine would get me 20 bucks). is crucial a reliable company? if not, then who? thanks
I got some RAM from crucial for both my ibooks and both work great, I dunno about the price though, here in mexico everything is really expensive (except alcohol ;)) so it was a bargain for me, and they have great service. good luck
For macs, it doesnt really matter as you cant OC' the ram anyway. As long as you get the lowest latency you can afford and get a name brand, your good. I buy my mac ram from OWC. They have a lot of choices and most of them are samsung chips. They are pretty affordable when compared to other joints too.

I use PNY in my macs. 30 bucks for 256MB PC133 is a good deal. I found some Rosewill PC133 256MB ram the other day at office depot and they wanted like 60 bucks for it.
