I will reply with my final stable scores shortly. I BROKE one of the cards!!! :'( While putting one in a case my wedding ring (figures) caught on one of the small square caps and it snapped off. OMG! Oh well, I will fix it and write a how too. I tried with my soldering iron, but its far to cheap and the tip is too big. Off to the hardware store to get some cool new toys.
Because I am not that happy with the Coolermaster Viva and it wont even fit with my larger SB heatsink, I have ordered a Zalman 900 cu and some copper ramsinks. I also ordered a 22" Samsung to complement my 19". I will post some temps when it comes on Wednesday.
Right now I have the stock sink on it and had to modify the SB heatsink to fit, lol.
Got my Zalman 900cu, ramsinks and lcd today. Very dissappointed in the cooler. Using ATIs ccc with the core at 688 I was running 101C. Thats hotter than the stock sink. Hmm, poor mounting contact? Dunno, but I have done so many that I could do it blind folded. I am going to watch the temps for a while and maybe try and reseat it. I took a bunch of pics that I will post later after I get my tattoo! LOL.
[censored] heatsink, useless in fact. Checked and seated perfectly. Added just a smidge more thermal paste (I try and have the thinnest layer possible). Same results. Damn. Off to ebay it goes. Here are some pics of the install though. >:D
Okay, so I ordered a replacement cooler, lol. The Arctic Cooling S1 is on the way and will be cooled by a 120 or 2x80mm fans. I will post the change with temps and OC clocks.
