Sounds cool.  Modding has a pretty steep learning curve some times.  I myself have killed many Macs. :'(
I say go for it.  Just be sure to blow it out good just in case.  Wouldn't hurt to cover the psu intake and motherboard either.  Just remember to remove the psu cover!

no i dont do it..i have got now a plate which i dremeled in a hole..(but the hole hasnt exactly a radius of 80mm only aout 74mm for covering the ugly edges) so i dont have to do anything more..

and i dont know if I should use AS5 because then i loose my warranty...(giga-designs never answers and they didnt putted TWO thermalPads in my box)..

i dont know what i should do--...

Hey, that is a nice looking blow hole.  Good job.  8)Check out this site...www.aqua-mac.com.  This guy is the king of Quicksilver modders.  I bet you can get some great ideas from him.

As far as the thermal pads go;  how much warranty do you have left?  I say go for the AC5!  You can buy replacement thermal pads from http://www.performance-pcs.com or http://www.frozencpu.com, so no worries, if it breaks later you can put some new ones on it for return with no one the wiser.  Besides, seems like the ones youve got now just arent doing the job.

hy---thanx-...now its running..yesterday it was the temp in the room..so the mac was overheating..now im from switzerland and i bought the last piece in switzerland and also the last piece of the distributor..(http://www.computerworks.ch) now if i can buy these pads agai i would buy AS5....so far..

i also think that those pads arent very good..(AS5 has got much better materials)..

He does very clean work.  You can  buy graphics cards like that (preflashed) on ebay, from aqua-mac (he working on that), and check out http://www.strangedogs.com.  That website has everything you need to do any card there is.  Check around it and make sure you become a member to view the good stuff, as they can be secretive.  I would say an ATI 9800pro or xt would be great for your set up as more than that can be limited by the rest of your system.  Too bad, I just sold my xt for 115 bucks on ebay.

i recently ordered a 9800Pro later a 9600Pro but they ve got hue problems with the RohS so i canceled the order..
now a 6800gt would be THE CHOICE..for me..i think ill take a look..maybe aquamac sold one on ebay..maybe i ll contact him...i will see
