Hello, I'm new!Excuse for my english! I'm overclock a ibook dual usb g3 500/66 to g3 600/100. When i have close ibook i don't have put this cover and this and the thermal over GPU (I have lost). Without these pieces it would not have to be less warm? thank you!
I always advise caution when OCing books. It is going to run hotter. You may consider just drilling some vents in the plate to keep the plates intended use. Have you tested temps? You can use Temp Monitor for that, or not as I am unsure of compatibility on G3s. You could use some Arctic Silver 5 on the GPU and CPU too which will drop a couple of degrees over the stock stuff (I have proven that it works). Good luck and I hope your OC adventures go well.

When I had my iBook I had the shields off and used some articsilver for the heatsink. I used iCook to O/C my iBook from 600MHz to 700MHz and that probably killed it. If I knew better I would of added some vents and maybe a better fan.

It's possible. Just splice into the power for the firewire. The firewire pumps 30volts on Pin one and Pin 2 is ground. Thing is this pinout is for 6pin firewire ports and I can't remember how many pins the iBooks use.
