Look, i have an macbook pro Core duo and my superdrive is dead. So i wanted to ask if it would be possible to put my ibooks superdrive in my macbookpro. Thx for all your help

If its from a G4 it should be fine, but the stock drives in the MBP are thinner even though I suspect there is room for the thicker drives The slot may not line up though, and if it does line up be careful closing the lid until you know for sure there is room with no obstructions. You don't want to bend any clips or anything. I take it its an early one and you don't have Applecare? I would call Apple anyway and demand a free replacement. It can't be far out of warranty.
Seriously, if the warranty has not long expired, talk to Apple. Even if they don't cover it for free, they might agree to sell you Applecare coverage for it instead.
