I was bored lastnight so I went on ebay to see if anyone is selling a G5 logicboard and CPU. Well I found a Xserve G5 logicboard but no CPU. There was one bid for 20 bucks. I tryed bidding 60 and I was out bidded. I tryed 70 and still no luck. I went ahead and tryed 200 and I was still out bidded. I gave up but sadly now the guy that want's it so bad is stuck paying $213.00 lol. It would of been cool if I got it then since I don't have a G5 CPU I could turn around and sell it on ebay for twice what I paid for.

Was it one of the spare parts kits? You see them quite often. They don't seem to sell very well though. Often have high reserves due to the retail price charged by Apple. In two years I have only had two Xserves in for repair. A G4 needed a drive board, and a G5 at the moment needs a PSU. The logic boards on these are as reliable as Apple boards get. I presume they are tested very well indeed.

The G4 kits had CPUs with them usually.

G5 kit is logic, PSU, drive module I think.
The G4 kit was logic with CPU, drive module, PSU and a blower.
