I got half of the mod complete. The LCD is installed and the Amp is wired up. I had to almost gut the inside of my car to do it. I took out the backseat and the dash to run the cable for the Amp and VGA. I ran into a small problem with this mod so far. The stick shift on my car is now broken frown I have to use a ballpoint pen to make the car ge out of park. Now I have to end up getting a after market stick shift knob. Last time I installed one of thoses it kept comming lose or undone.

Besides that problem all I have to wait for now is the logicboard, memory, GPS, DVD drive and two more laptop HD to desktop adapters.

I bought a cheap-o stick shift knob at pep-boys. It goes well with my car's theme. Crome and slate/carbonfiber.

I have made quite a bit of videos and also worked on a how-to guide for my project. The howto guide will be on my car club's DIY page and also i'm going to try and put a copy here. Also there is a huge secret with this project as well.

I have ran into a problem. I was checking up on my mod to the power supply since it's a ATX power supply and found out I can't use a Digital Audio logicboard for my mod. Pin22 on the power supply for the DA needs 24 to 28 volts just so it can boot and it is used for ADC video. Unless there's a way to bypass this with a inverter circut? If anyone has some ideas for me to still beable to use the board then let me know.

is there any way you could go straight from the dc-dc converter to that pin (i.e. does the dc-dc have a 24 or 28 output)?  or are there any pins in the power supply that the logic board doesn't need?

If your not going to be using the ADC jack, you can suppy only 12v to that line and the board should power up fine, at least it did for me when I used an ATX supply in my DA.

Good to hear that news. Now I can use the logicboard I wanted to use. My power supply only makes a output of 12V DC and a minimum of 3.3V.

Heres some info about the PSU im using.

I ordered three 2.5 laptop to standard IDE adapters and they came in today. I'm using two 20GB drives and a 6.5GB drive. 20GB will be for OSX and a few pograms and the other 20GB will be for music and the 6.5GB will be used for swap.

I just tested out the drives and both 20GB drives work but the 6.5GB drive doesn't work. So now im just stuck to make a 1GB partition on my main drive.

Also the memory has came in. 1stick of 512MB PC133  smile thanks krusher117!
