My school has a used computer store in it. I saw a 400mhz power mac with a 40 gig drive. It has OSX 10.2. It was selling for $250. I was thinking of getting it for possibly modding and as a web server. Is it a good deal? Is it worth It. I'll check for all the details on monday. Thanks
I've found them to be the best priced used mac store around. Got my DA 533 back when they could still make some money (before Intels) and it was incredibly clean, only a few minor scratches.
They are right, many G4s can be had for free or less than a hundred bucks. The 100mhz bus G4s are headed out to pasture. I would stick with digital audios or higher. Those models are cheap too and are much better.
I forgot to say that it was 250$ canadian if that changes your oppinions. I'm not sure what that is in american $. I'm getting a monitor and a keyboard/ mouse. I looked at that site and it wouldn't be any better for me because there would be conversiona nd shipping and handling.ßß
I think its fair...hopefully its got some extra ram. Don't be afraid to try to talk them down a little.

I think used macs retain more value up here... I don't know why.

I bought my second sawtooth for 100 bucks at a computer show but it didn't have any memory but the system was fully loaded. Airport card, DVD-RAM, 20GB HD and a 60GB HD with OS9 and 10.1.5 installed.
250 is way to high unless it has a upgraded CPU that is 900MHz to 1GHz. Ofcorse this is a school so they're trying to get as much as they can since the pricetag was 2,000 and something back when they bought it lol.
