I'm running os x 10.4 server on my B&W and I want to setup a netboot server on it. Why, if you're wondering is because I only have one DVD drive on all of my systems and I hate to switch out the drive each time I have to reinstall tiger.
FYI: Apparently you can run Netboot without OS X Server. See afp548.com
I don't see a question here. But I'll try and help anyway. Netboot service is activated from Server Admin. Use disc utility to make a disk image from an install DVD for Netinstall, or from an installed Mac hard drive to run Netboot. It was flaky last time I tried it. Hold down the 'n' key on a client during boot to search for a Netboot volume. Should see a flashing globe icon if it is searching like it should be. You can set it from the Startup Disk Prefs too.
