I recently obtained an old Creative Sound Blaster Live! from a friend and was wonderig to myself: if one could flash the ROM on a video card from PeeCee to Mac, why wouldn't the same be possible with a sound card? I mean, it should actually be EASIER to do since the ROM file is smal- ler. Or is the Mac version of that card physically different from the PC one? Maybe that's worth thinking about, since it would be nice to have 5.1 Audio on my Smurf without buying an expensive X-Fi Platinum Pro Extreme Edition Fatal1ty Gold Master 5000 for $1.000.000.

I just did a search for it and theres no need to flash it. Just locate the drivers from Creative Labs. Also thing is there are only drivers for OS9 and not OSX
