Hi guys, i am relatively new to case modding and i intend to paint the side panel of the G4 white in color and the apple logo black. I want to know which type of paint should i get and how should i go about painting it? Some questions i need to know.
For the white part, Do i get the Gloss white Fusion or the Gloss white 1501? Will the side panels be really glossy and smooth? Stupid question but do we remove the gray paint from the panel first? or just spray directly on the outside?
For the Black apple logo, do i use the black gloss 1601? Will the logo still be as shiny as now?
Thanks. ;D (tell me if you guys think this mod will be nice) For the other side i intend to remove the gray paint and install some white cathodes or leds and also paint the apple logo gloss black. For the front and top, it will be painted gloss white too.
Thanks guys. So i can get either the gloss white or the gloss white fusion?
Zenstate - So i have to wet sand the surface i intend to paint on? Mordaskyt - If i use the krylon gloss white on the inside of the panel, will it look glossy from the outside?? How many layers do i need to paint? just one layer?
is it possible to remove the big apple logo for easier painting?
Actually i change my mind and i intend to paint my big apple logo with Krylon Sterling Silver instead. You guys know how shiny it will be? i cant find any pictures online. I am going for a mirror finish. is it possible?
you can use flat paint on the inside and it'll still be glossy.... as glossy as the case is. It'll take a few coats, but less with the flat paint.
mirror finish? no way. silver leaf is probably the closest you can get.
