As I write this its a little after 10:40 EST and less than an hour and a half left to turn in your challenge Mod. I wonder how many of you are sweating the final details and turning that last screw. All the while snapping pictures and writing a guide at the same time. I for one can't waite to see the mods this year. Its not so much about who wins, as the wide range of great Mods that will be displayed.
Good Luck to everyone who is compeeting. :compute:

And don't bother trying to guess the URLs :compute:....they aren't accessible :P

i would have to agree. the B&O is a good clean mod. very impressive
My question is: were there any mods submitted by any companies...? i tried to get some of the local mac stores in my area to try and join, but no dice.

No businesses participated. I'll get you guys to help me get the word out for next year tho. Businesses need a LONG time to prepare and I didn't factor that in. This year was the first year we were going to allow businesses to participate (WOW FREE ADVERTISING RIGHT?!) but i didn't let them know till August 1st so I dropped the ball there.
Hopefully I can think of something that can be my thesis project. That would be sweet to get the school to pay the expenses on it. I'm in my 3rd year now, so I'd probably have to wait two years. What are some good things for an electrical engineer to do?

MacBook guts into a Clamshell iBook? Not much electrical engineering involved in that one though. If you could mod a G5 iMac to run from a PowerBook or MacBook Pro PSU brick, you could have the worlds only PowerBook G5!
