I need to make a bezel for a slot load notebook drive. The drive is mounted in an Xserve G4. The case is from a tray-load Xserve so the front bezel just has a gap where the drive goes, as the tray drive bezel is a separate piece.
Cutting a slot in something about 1cm wide is not an appealing prospect. Any thoughts?

The easyest thing to do is to get some clay or playdoe and make the bezel with a razor. Then make a mold out of aluminum foil from the cheapo bezel and re-make it out of fiberglass. I've done this plenty of times with plastic parts/items.
