I have mounted a Pioneer DVR-K06 in a slot load G3 imac running Tiger. It gets recognised fine, and when a disc is in there, it seems to work properly. Problem is it won't accept discs. It just doesn't seem to pull them in. The drive is fine, I have swapped it in and out of a Pismo several times, and it goeas back to 100% normal operation when its in there. Does anyone know if I'm missing something?
Actually this one is a Blue Dalmation 600MHz Early 2001. But that shouldn't make any difference really. I sorted it anyway. Swapped the aftermarket drive I was trying to fit for an Apple branded one, and the problem went away. I might post a mod guide since this was very simple and I haven't found any record of an internal DVD burner in a slot iMac, anywhere on the net. Even the XLR8 drive database.

I hooked up my Pioneer DVD burner and it worked on my iMac but I didn't try burning CDs with it. Just used it to install OSx with it then hooked it back to my sawtooth. I bet I can geat ahold of a slimdrive DVD burner for mine.
