I more or less finished the mod. i put the G4 AGP board in the computer case of the g3. i hooked up everything. it wont start. i think it is because i am usinga PCI video card. there is a re light on the motherboard what does this mean.does nthe g4 AGP require the use of an AGP card to boot up. The PCI card i was using is the ATI Rage 128 16 meg.

Hey, where did you get the board? Both Anil8tor and I purchased Sawtooth boards on ebay and ran into the same problem. Turned out the boards were dead. They did have the light on them too and it was on, just no boot.

My sawtooth was fine until I swaped it into my old B&W case. Now I get is a static sound from the speaker and thats it. Guess theres a grounding issue or something.
i recently revisited this mod and tried it again. looking at the board closely it looks brand new like it came right out of the box you think the problem could be with the G4 daughter card?
