Hey, my iBook is almost coming to it's 1st boughtday, and I was thinking of spiffying it up a bit. Does anyone know a safe way to buff out scratches on my iBook and have it keep that awesome Apple sheen to it? Thanks

if I were gonna buff the scratches out of something, I'd be using a random orbital buffer and some meguiars polishing compound. But thats pretty hardcore. easier would be to pull the plastics off, remove the apple logo (it comes out) and then wet sand the plastics with 1000 grit sanding film. that'll take the surface down and clean up the scratching. course, it may need a litle polish to remove any swirling, but you should get a decent shine.
