I need to take some better ones really. But here is what I have at the moment. I'm afraid you can barely see the chips in question. The biggest (8 pin) is just right of the middle. The two others are on the right-hand edge of the pic.

Its an Apple board, from an ATA Xserve/RAID drive module.
Diodes you reckon? I figured they were something simple. I was thinking transistors, but diodes sounds more sensible to me. They should be easy enough to replace shouldn't they?
