Does anyone know the possibilities of upgrading an early G5 (dual 2GHz w/ 1GHz FSB) with two of the new 2GHz dual-core processors? Basically, modifying a real Dual into a faux Quad.

It has more to do with firmware, bus use, ram speed and logic board design. I dont know if it has a differing number of pins. I dont think its worth even trying. -maestro
I suspect its possible for a company like Powerlogix, Sonnet etc, or of course Apple themselves, but Apple haven't made their own upgrades for years.....
