Well I have way tomany computers in my computer room. 13 systems in all. Anyway I want to turn my B&W into a media center. I already got a case line up for it. All I need is a video card that has S-Video. I know I can just go grab a new card easily but I noticed something. Wouldn't I need a DVD Encoder for the videocard? I know with my modded iMac it doesn't let me watch DVDs even though it has a DVD Drive. I get a error saying I don't have the hardware.

I just want to be on the safe side on this lol. I don't want to go buy a video card and then find out I can't watch DVDs on it.

No, OSX uses software dvd decoding.

Sweet, so if I wanted I can play DVDs on my iMac if I installed OSx. Anyway, thanks for the info and yes there is a limit on having to many computers. If they're all on and makes the circut breaker reset then you have too many lol.
