I recieved my new ati 9600 today. It was supposed to be a 128mb model, BUT, I see there is ram on one side only! Havent tried it yet though. One difference I did notice is that it has two DVI connectors instead of the DVI/ADC. Its also missing the ADC power piece which enters the slot (duh). Well, it should fit better at least. I am going to test it out and post any differences on my "Make the 9600 a Super Card" article in site news. -maestro
Well, after taping the pins, its hooked up. It is in fact 128mb. Yeah! My system is dead quiet, its like a new Japanese car running and you crank it over cuz you think its not running. Of course it will get modded just like the other one. The mod really is that effective. One thing I did was look up clock freq. in aticcelorator and the ram was overclocked to 398! Hmmm. Clocked it back town til I mod it. So anyway thats it for now. My other card is going on eBay probably tonight if you want it for a low reserve! The modded 9000 sale paid for this card. -maestro
