So I got a heat gun and dremmel for my birthday, so i decided to re-do the stand. Here are some pictures:

and before i put the fans & usb hub in



with the extra space in the front I have a sliding potentiometer to use for a fan control, a switch for the LEDs and I'll pull one of the usb ports up to the front. Unfortunately, the pot that i've got is too strong (10k Ohm) so I've ordered a smaller one that should work.

So last night my order from Futurlec came in - So i put in the fan controller slider - it's still too large of a resistor, I only move the slider about a quarter the length to go from full on to off. So I may get another one at some point, but for now I'm broke and it's not really worth it. Also, the USB port I mounted doesn't seem to be working, it get's power, but not the info signal, i.e. the mouse I plugged into it lit up but didn't work (it did work when I plugged it in elsewhere)



Edit: Forgot to mention, the switch on the right is for the lights, and next time I make it out to the hardware store I'll get the screws for the slider and pull out that hot glue.

Edit part 2: by right I do mean left. Or stage right, yeah, let's go with that.
