Ok, good...c ause I just bought one on ebay and I don't want to have to waste my money.
I wish I knew what I did to cause this problem. Could this be anything from a dead HD to a fried logicboard?
Is there a more concrete way to identify the problem?
Well I wish I had a magic bullit for you, But I am almost as new to this as you... been building PC for almost 30 years but got my first mac in June after I brook my foot. Just wanted something new to play with, and now I am on my second one. Now these things are picky about Hard drive and CD locations on the cables, You shure you got everything back the way it was? Down to what connector on the cable you used. Some drives are set to CS (cable select) and the mainboard might not find the boot drive if plugged in to a diff connector

You know what this means, don' you? It means I'll have to go through every configuration possible to see if this is the case So much for relaxing after work :pinch:
Ahhh... nothing like tearing apart a Mac for some quality entertainment!
Maybe a litle help... if the boot drive IS set to cs then it wants to be on the connector farthest from the mainboard or card. Providing the boot is the master drive... :ermm: if not then... well you know...
