Yo, as some of you know I have been modding my Rev A iMac to use a Slot-Load DVD Drive.
I got the logicboard replaced and got Mac OS 9.2.2 installed and finaly got the DVD drive mounted and working great. Only problem is I keep getting a error -127. This same error haunted me with the old logicboard before I started to mod it. I dunno if it's the CPU card or bad ram. Any ideas?

Hear is an odd question: Are you using the same hard drive in this machine as the last one?

Nope, im using a 30GB drive this time. I have the Harddrive set to Master with slave present and the DVD set to Slave. If you're wondering the Hard drive im using is a Western Digital IDE ATA-66 30GB. I forgot the model number to it.

If the DVD is all alone on its own bus then it should probably be set to master..

The DVD is on the same controller as the hard drive.

IDE-1 is for the TL drive and IDE-0 is for the harddrive. Since the SL and the Tray load use diffrent connections I just modded the DVD to work like a standard IDE ATAPI DVD drive like the iPC mod. Since the DVD drive only needs +5v to work I just spliced the power with the power from the hard drive molex connecter. Also I installed a standard IDE (non-ATA) cable in the system so it has two IDE connections. Typical PC stuff. Only now i'm facing a error that haunted me when I had the old logicboard and before the mod. All that hasn't been replaced is the memory and the CPU card. I have also updated the frimware to 1.2. I don;t know if I should try updating to 4.1.9 since it was made for a slot-load system.
