maestro Registered: 11/15/07 Posts: 1656	I bought a 160bg hd for $40 (new) for a upcoming article a couple of days ago. I am running it in the b&w g3 from previous articles. Ive got it hooked up with the ata to sata convertor to the seritek sata card. Problem is the computer recognizes it, but will not mount it. It makes grinding noises at start up and periodically. Ive tried pretty much everything. Did I get a bad drive? This is my first western digital, I own every other brand and they have been fine. Should I return it? -maestro
