So to cut a long story short i was trying to install a fan-mate 2 on my eMac so i went about some re-wiring etc and plugged it in, my fan then stopped....
Now my eMac's internal fan dopesnt fire up even with the standard connection of the fans (without fan mate) I have no idea what is causing this i have checked all the connections on the mnotherboard etc and there are no prblems, my eMac still boots up and runs fine just it gets very very hot as there is no fan cooling it....
Anyway if anyone could help me fix this or knows of a workaround i would be very happy to hear from you,
You can plug your Fan into the HDDs power supply with one of thoes inline tap things you can see my old imac someweher in the galrey with a rainbow fan straped to it thats using the HDDs power molex coonector, or you could use the CD roms
Shadowmoses, Yeah, you totally need cooling in that joker. If you need to replace the fan/power assembly entirely, message me directly with your unit serial number, and I'll see about scoring you another. I probably have several of what you need.
Electricity tastes good. No, seriously.
