This may not be of interest to everyone, but from a service standpoint, its got some weight.
Up until now, Apple was providing warranty service for the imac G5's in terms of almost an entire unit swap. If your Bluetooth board went bad, you'd get a whole midplane assembly, which is basically the whole thing, save the optical drive, display inverter, and hard drive.
Recently, since the units are gonna potentially be going out of warranty soon (for the love of god, buy your applecare) Apple will be offering service providers the ability to order the individual parts of the machine separately. This is a very good thing, as it will save the customer's, and us service providers a lot of money.
Now, here's the kicker. Previously, the main housing, and the LCD panel were offered as a complete unit. Joy. It was super expensive. Now, they've separated the two pieces, so that they can be ordered either/or. What this means is that there will soon be a spare iMac housing in my posession. Anyone care to offer any thoughts on how I should paint this wonder when I get it? Dunno bout anyone else, but I'm excited!

Electricity tastes good. No, seriously.
I don't know, I tend to be conservative (Gasp) on color, I like the white, silver would be cool though, or maybe a two tone like (Crazy) sunburst! Also, is the finish inside only, like the old white ibooks? how cool would a transparent imac be.
