Hey everyone, I just finished modding an iPod Shuffle for a giveaway from my webcomic site Onezumi.com . Before I started doing it I didn't realize how difficult it was to paint those little guys. I had to redo it more times than I can remember. The actual contest rules and pictures of the mod (and even modded box and inserts!) are here. Hey, If Bono can do it so can I.

Looks pretty cool! Wish I was entering the contest. I don't have anything against pink, it's just that I already have a shuffle and it's not fair to other people.

So what kind of paint did you use on it?

Oh, I hope it was the original headphone jack and not a replacement

that looks great but pink? any way in the pic you have an apple logo in the background with a smiley face on it i was wondering what you would charge me to design one for my ibook? i was looking to make one that looks like a pumpkin with a green leaf on top that will fit inside the logo so that you can see it from the outside and when it lights up.

Hello everyone, I work with Onezumi on Onezumi.com. We got hit with a ton of stuff after this contest ended so we haven't had alot of time to read or post on many forums recently, but I wanted to stop by and give you guys an update on the mod Onezumi created. The winner of the iPod contest has posted a followup to receiving the iPod Shuffle and it is posted on our Harknell.com forum site for our webcomic Onezumi.com, you can see the entry here.
Onezumi has told me that if she tries another mod it will probably be more of a custom vinyl or plastic skin overlay like they make at a number of "skinning" sites. If anyone is interested in artwork for something like this Onezumi does take commissions, just send an email to us from any of the website email contact links and we'll get back to you.

(BTW Onezumi is really looking at Modding her iBook Pink, if that happens we'll post pictures)

if that happens you should enter it into the mod challenge next month :cheer:
