My "new" logic board & PSU arrived, yesterday, from NexComp. I still need to order new PRAM battery & system CD (gave my ONLY copy of OS 9.1 to a good family friend, along with my late mom's Performa 6360 & 15AV monitor), but I've also realized that I have no clue as to which ROM is on my "new" logic board. I know my dead logic board is Rev. B, as it came from my AIO G3 with the dead PSU, but it's entirely possible that my "new" one could be Rev. A. No biggie, there, since I obviously (possibly if it's not damaged, as well) have a ROM upgrade available.
Is there any way to check which ROM is on the "new" logic board before I do the swap, or will I have to wait until I can get the Mac going again, and look in "System Profiler?"
All you have to do is look at the GPU on the logic board itself. Like whitlock said, if it has a Rage IIc it is a rev. A ROM. If it has a Rage Pro, it is not.
Check the picture, the outlined chip is the one you need to look at.
