hey guys i found a good deal on a g3 900 logic board that i can swap for my g3 700 is the upgrade worth it would it be a noticible boost? just looking for some tips before i spend the money
You will probably see a 10-15%+ boost in speed. So depending on the "deal" I would go for it. Maybe you can even get a little money for your logic board as a spare part or something in the trading area.

It is pretty much dependant on the "deal" you get. For a laptop, since you have the option of switching out boards for more than a 100mhz jump, I'd highly consider it. Laptops are great. Still wish I had one.

if you have to pay more than 100 dollars for the upgrade, after everything is all said and done, buying this one and selling yours, the difference, then I wouldn't go for it.
