Lamest mod ever? Well, I just couldn't bear to have Velcro stuck everywhere... But I needed a USB port within easy grasp. So let me know what you think. No doubt it'll be greatly improved by suggestions here.
I was wondering why Apple didn't put one on the front given they keyboard/Mouse and printer use USB and now the iPod exclusively does too, you are basically screwed unless you get a hub.
So can somebody take a dremel to their mini and do this the right way for fame and glory all the while giving apple care the middle finger

If you could dremel your case and add the ports that would look great, but if you did like what I did on my mini and get the AppleCare, I would not suggest it. The current idea looks great and looking foward to seeing the end product. I may do something like that.
Possibly add a four port hub running from the back and make an attatchment on the side of the case that matches the mini. I don't have access to a photo manipulation program right now, but basically like a mini on the mini (a.k.a. matching USB hub that looks attatched).

ooo shiny! but then again, why not buy a fairly thin USB expander, remove the casing, put it in a block of... wood, foam, plastic... stone? and plug it in... instant four port hub on the front, and only loosing one port on the back...
