Now that I got a new mouse, I want to use my old Apple mouse for my wifes B&W G3. I would like to paint the inside of it to match. Has anyone taken one of these apart? If not I am willing to sacrifice it for the cause and do a mod guide on it. That is if I can ever finish my other mods. -maestro

I assumed it was the pro mouse. Well, it's possible but you have to break every pressure tab in the mouse to do it. Let's say once you have it done, it's going to stay like that. A good epoxy will treat you right, and do something else while you are at it. See if the Isopropyl alcohol trick removes the paint in the pro mouses.

if it is painted from the underside, like i think it is, then 99% isopropyl should do the trick. I don't think that 70% will quite cut it. But I know 99% does well. You can find it at your local hospital products distribution center.

Here is a mod guide on modding/taking apart a Pro Mouse. I may have mispoke about pressure tabs, but they were the epoxy joints (they feel the same when you are cutting them).
