A lot of news was made when Target online began offering the Mac Mini for sale on their site. I browsed there this morning to check it out. The wait time was 2-6 weeks. They offered thr 40 and 80 GB configuraions with the 1.25 and 1.42 ghz processors. As of 1PM EST, the Mac Mini is longer available to purchase from the Target store and there is no sign that it ever existed there.
Either they will not be carrying in the future or else it was so popular that they can no longer meet demand
Guess we'll find out more. I'll try to call Target sometime today.
Target official response : "You mean the Apple iPod Mini?" - "No, the Apple Mac Mini" "I have no idea why it was available and is not currently avaiable however it could be attributed to many different things.
Availablility - we expected to receive items in a quantity that we will no longer be receiving
Back-end Fix - The information on the product is being updated and was removed temporarily

apple cant afford to put more than one at the chandler fashion center store, so they might not be able to meet the demand. but when the imac came out, they only had one there for the first few days, and its a pretty small store, so i may be wrong.
I discovered that you can still access the puchase page for the mac mini page using its direct URL http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/sr=...asin=B0006HU2IM and it appears that you can still finalize your purchase however it still isn't listed on the site
