I have taken an iMac 600 DV and put it in an APEX DVD player case. I used a Marathon computer iMac on ATX kit for the power supply wiring and a tray load cdrom from and older iMac. I have a build-up story here. The finished unit looks just like the stock DVD player except for the emergency eject hole for the cdrom and the old control buttons are slightly recessed and used as a speaker grille.

Very nice mod. Clean look to it and the attention to the I/O ports is nice. As for the case, it's a good size to work with, especially for this mod. You don't have to do too much to adjust inside the case.
Hey, you should post a mod guide here so other people can mimic this if they want.

I tried posting a mod guide before I made this post but I had trouble. I must be trying to make it too complicated. I was following you guide to submitting a mod guide.

Good job! I love the guide. Do you have any other mods planned now?
