Hey, You may have thought about this before, but what about starting an apple user group. It apears free (didn't look to deeply though) it gives a ton of free benifits, and then we would be apple reconized. A small problem that might exist, I belive that we would have to choose one state to 'be' from... I don't have a full idea of how it would work. But it might be nice to be connected to Apple.(?)
I didn't realize that mac user groups were affiliated with Apple. Correct me if I am wrong, but, arn't these like local mac clubs that get together and talk about their macs and how to spread the mac "cult"?

interesting. I didn't realize that apple had an affiliation with these groups.
[ul]To be approved as an online-only group, you need[/ul]: 100 members on your listserv and/or web discussion board A digest version of your listserv A method for Apple to view postings Three leader contacts in the database A generic group email address A group website
hmm, a digest version of our listserv? Maybe RSS?
This sounds really cool. If someone is truly interested, we could start something like this up. Lets get everything figured out.

Im in on it. I used to belong to a user group, but it was different than most it was computing in general, but there was several special intrest groups (sigs) within it that you could attend, i of course joined the apple one. We got to see mac os X before it was even realeased to the public because we had an apple representitive come every year to show the latest and greatest. oF course i was a tad out of place being the only person there under the age of about 25 (i was 13 at the time). hmmm. If you wanna check them out you can find them at http://www.PACS.org
