Rig:
533dp G4, 1.5gigs ram, 2 int hd's (40 & 30g), pioneer 107D, ext 80gig FW (rarely on, used for weekly backups only, iSub, Epson 880 printer, 16/600 laserprinter. dLink router to cable modem, sharing network with wife's iMac 400dv.
OS: 10.3.4

I run chron tasks in Terminal whenever I think to do so using
sudo /etc/daily
sudo /etc/weekly
sudo /etc/monthly

All goes well until I reach the weekly portion at which time Terminal reports it cannot find many files in the man3 folder. I've searched for them and find alias' markers but cannot locate originals. Here's what Terminal reports:

So, is there a way to make the OS rebuild these? Are they important? Re-install them from original Panther disks?

I've Disk Utility and repaired permissions, used fsck -fy (journaled), DW 3.02, and TTPro 4 yet these files remain M.I.A.

I always use Onyx to run those cron jobs, and it works well for me. You might give that a try.
