Is there anyway to take colored film (window tinting come to mind) and covering the inside of a slot-loading iMac. I know that a japanese guy did something similar with the ibooks, but he just used a printed image. I'd like to take a graphite iMac and add a few interesting shapes to it, like stripes that could be installed on the inside and show though
It would work, as long as the holes are not covered, and remembering that everything would have the graphite color to convend with since that color is not removable.

that would look slick, but i warn thee: don't cover the holes.
those things get hot, and as someone who has replaced their fare share of logic and analog boards in all kinds of iMacs (and a capacitor discharge), those things get hot as all hell. my problem with those graphites were cooling (and logic board death after 3 years if you are like 30% of graphite owners). i'd drop a tint in there, or use a white paint and a template, and paint a really slick image that shows through. that would look nice too!
